Wally and I first met at Cottenham Theatre Workshop where we shared a love of the stage, although Wally’s love was more backstage at the time.  It turned out Wally was hiding a wonderful voice which, thank goodness, he is now sharing with us.

Wally had been a member of “Beachcombers”, a singing group dedicated to raising money for arthritis research.  I joined “Beachcombers” in 1999 and performed at various functions with them over the following 2 years, devising all of their choreography, aided and abetted by my good friend Matt Unwin.  Beachcombers finally disbanded in 2001 when some of the founding members decided they were too old to continue.  Personally, I think some of the choreography left them wondering about future hip replacements...

Wally later formed “The Two of Em” with another member of “Beachcombers”, Paul Tibbett, entertaining at clubs in the Cambridge area.  When Paul had to stop due to work commitments, Wally had a break from it all, but the lure was too much and so he asked me to join him.  The rest is history.
